Water Rescue Robot R1 is a surface rescue robots independently developed by JTT. It is propelled by electric propellers and has a load of 500kg. It is fast and portable, and can continuously resupply those in need or stuck or wounded in a place far from where medical team can’t reach or can’t arrive as soon as possible. The incident happened while the pandemic was still ongoing. According to beach management office, there were two people came to a place, and one of them slipped to the ground and hit the rock by his knee, and he thought he was seriously wounded as he couldn’t stand properly. There’s no other way to ask for help but to get back but he was wounded and he couldn’t leave him. So he called and told the office what’s going on and what he needed, then after located, the office used Water Rescue Robot R1 with an APP that shows the app to realize Marine First Aid Supplies Delivery for them to handle and stop the bleeding and everything that made him feel worse. The office clicked the place and then 2 minutes after it was launched, it arrived at the point. The guy then opened the supplies and got what he needed. JTT Rescue Case Information Date October 11, 2020 Location Yangzhou, China Challenges & tasks Salvaging in complex waters Solution Water Rescue Robot R1 Results Victim found by assisting frogmen Device Water Rescue Robot R1 Case Description On October 11, 2019, a joint water rescue drill executed in Yangzhou, with rescue organization. Water Rescue Robot RC Lifebuoy R1, an unmanned vessel from JTT Rescue was deployed for patrol, reconnaissance, and rescue operations. When salvaging suspicious items, an R1 set off at the same time with the frogmen to assist the latter with long-term salvage in complex waters. R1 can provide lifesaving buoyancy to frogmen whenever they got exhausted. R1 deployed for patrolling On the other hand, after it was finished finding things down under and when it was patrolling with the rescuer, a drowning victim was found somewhere on the water. The USV equipped with speaker and camera then speaks and comforts and records as the rescuer was off shore while USV was on the way to saving the drowning person. It then spent 2 seconds (the speeds is at 7 meters per second) to reach there and let him hold it properly. And finally he got to breathe. The rescuer then can get the video files from the camera and investigate what was exactly going on, having such important evidence.
